Matt Deane
I am a husband, father of four, and I farm with my family in southeast Missouri. I am passionate about Christ, my family, people, and the outdoors. I have always believed that our ministry can be through whatever we do in our daily lives. However, it became clear to me after our first trip to Africa, that sometimes we need to cast our nets on the other side of the boat if that’s where the fish are. If we take a step of faith for God’s kingdom he will provide.
“He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.” John 21:6
“Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.” Luke 5:10-11
This has led to a passion to help meet needs to show the love of Christ, and to support the amazing disciples that are already there, so that more may come to know Christ.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

I became a follower of Jesus on May 3, 2001. My Spiritual journey has consisted of mountains, valleys, sharp turns and more blessings than I could have ever imagined. In January 2022, I unexpectedly encountered a critical illness from Covid. I was on a ventilator for thirteen days. My road to recovery was nothing short of a miracle. It was during this season of my life that I learned to trust God completely and to praise Him in the middle of uncertainty.
God heard my cries, and He spoke so clearly to me. He said, “It is your time to go follow Me like never before. It is your time to go serve Me like never before. It is your time to go make disciples like never before.” In July of 2025, on a beautiful summer day, God spoke to me again. This time He said, “You are not going to be comfortable, seek the Spiritual dead.”
This has led to four trips to Senegal, Africa from July 2025 to June 2026. It was on our 3rd trip that it became very clear to us what the “Great Commission” felt like. And our hearts will never be the same!
The following scriptures have shaped my life: Matthew 22:37-40, Matthew 25:31-46, Galatians 2:20 and Acts 20:24.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

In December 2023, the Lord placed one word on my heart: MORE.
More for His Kingdom.
More to come.
Since then, He has continually led me to scriptures like Matthew 25:35–40, reminding me to show His love through compassion and action by meeting the physical needs of others. As we show His love to people in practical ways, we, more importantly, have the opportunity to introduce them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Lord has also deeply impressed Matthew 28:19–20 on my heart, giving me a burden for souls like never before. Jesus' command to "go and make disciples" is for every believer, but it has become a very personal calling in my own life as He has walked me through the true meaning of Galatians 2:20.
As God stirred these same passions in the hearts of others, many conversations began to take place. From those conversations, More Grace Ministries, Inc. was founded in December 2025. Our mission is to lead people into an abundant, life-changing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ by meeting them where they are with His grace, His love, and His provision.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…..The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:35-40

I am simply a sinner saved by God's grace, seeking to follow His will for my life.
Many years ago, God called me to serve people with developmental disabilities. During that time, He spoke these words to my heart: "These are My children."
In May 2026, I heard those same words again. This time, the Lord was showing me that the street children of Senegal, West Africa, are also His children. In that moment, I knew He was inviting me to love them with His love and to help meet their needs using the blessings and provision He has so generously entrusted to me.
“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24
